Why is average recharge different in various groundwater availability model run reports?

0

Some districts are comparing the average recharge reported in groundwater availability model runs for management plans to groundwater management area predictive model runs (desired future condition runs). The management plan runs are designed to address Texas State Water Code, Section 36.1071, Subsection (h), which states that in developing its groundwater management plan, a groundwater conservation district shall use groundwater availability modeling information provided by the Executive Administrator of the Texas Water Development Board. Both types of model runs are produced by the Texas Water Development Board staff but for different purposes. In many cases the average recharge reported is different.
