Why is Aurora opening the clinic and cancer center first, separate from the hospital?
It is really the hard work of the architects, engineers and hundreds of skilled trades workers that helped us to achieve an early opening of the new Aurora Wilkinson Medical Clinic and Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic. Opening the clinic ahead of schedule is a decision that has the patients’ and our caregivers’ best interest in mind. Patients will have access to the first part of an integrated care model that will set a new standard for healthcare. We’ve long outgrown our current facilities, and we know our patients and caregivers are extremely excited to move to their new home very soon.
