All our pipes are mandrel bent to prevent any loss of efficiency. The Apexi factory also boasts one of the only few 95mm pipe bending machines for high HP applications. All canisters use aircraft quality SUS304 stainless steel and have a titanium particle based high temperature paint to protect the pipes. What is MEGAPHONE PIPING? Megaphone piping is based upon the law of physics stating that exhaust gases travel along the OUTSIDE of the pipes. Sudden changes in piping diameter actually HURT the performance of the vehicle due to turbulence created inside of the pipes. Since exhaust gases travel at close to the speed of sound, a pocket of turbulence inside the pipes closes off the pipe leaving only a small diameter to pass through.
