Why is any obtainable warranty pertaining to a battery series shorter than the expected design life ?
Basically the warranty should protect the end-user against any failure mode of the battery consequential from faulty manufacture. For the majority of all cases, these defects would show up within at least 12 months from the date of production. On the other hand the conditions in which the batteries operate and which can be detrimental to reaching the design life are out of reach of SSB so are maintenance and installation a warranty beyond the standard warranty can be purchased in particular cases on condition that the installation is permanently monitored and a technical maintenance report is forwarded to SSB`s approval. …
