The Arizona Irish Music Society (AIMS) was established to encourage more people to become interested in Irish music: both as performers and as an audience for Irish music. Touring performers such as the Chieftans, Mary Black, Altan, and so on attract audiences of thousands of people. Yet these people are generally ignorant of the local Irish music scene. AIMS intends to change this by promoting Irish/Celtic music and the local Irish performers.
