Why is an employer required to report all employees on the annual company census report?
It is very important to accurately determine the eligibility of every employee who is working or has worked for the employer during the plan year. To properly determine the eligibility for each employee for any given plan year, the plan record keeper must have all the pertinent facts (date of birth, date of hire, compensation, hours worked, etc.) for each employee who worked at any time during the plan year.
