Why is an email address required?
ShareBuilder requires that you provide a current email address, as this is ShareBuilder’s primary method of communication. All ShareBuilder customers will receive email notifications of confirmations and monthly statements, as well as any changes in policy. There are two types of email sent out by ShareBuilder: Types of Email SEC Required Educational / Promotional Statement Notifications CEO Newsletters Confirmation Notifications Promotion Notifications Tax Notifications ShareBuilder Update Notices You can opt out of receiving the educational/promotional emails, but you will still receive any notifications required by the regulatory authorities. Important: Please be sure to update your email address in all of your ShareBuilder accounts whenever there is a change. If ShareBuilder is not able to contact you, access to ShareBuilder features may be restricted or your ShareBuilder account may be closed.
