Why is an addition necessary at Lees Summit West High School?
Lee’s Summit West High School, which opened in fall 2004, was designed so that a major classroom addition could be added within a few years to accommodate growth. The addition will provide room to meet the projected enrollment needs for LSWHS. Without the addition, the school would require mobile classrooms in the near future. The school’s infrastructure was built to handle approximately 2,000 students, and this planned addition follows the pattern used in several previous R-7 school construction projects.
