Why is AMD Phenom X4 9650 more expensive than AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+?

Well because the 6000 that is sold frequantly on the market today is the old version. Newegg hasn’t gotten any of the newer one’s in in the last couple of months, but for a week the other month they had the 6000 89Watt version that still had the 2mb cache, unlike the lower power 5600 that lowered the power consumption but also lowered the cache to 2x512mb. But those sold out with in 4 days or so… Now the Phenom itself has lowered in price because of the bad mouth it has gotten since it’s release of the 9500, 9600, and the 9800 CPU’s that supposedly had B3 bugs or TLB bug. I have read many of article that states that this bug was propaganda sent out by the intel force just because the chips wouldn’t overclock as well as an intel chip. The thing is the same then as it is now. AMD in price comparison is relevent performance wise to it’s value. Intel makes extreme CPU’s that range in price up to $1400… AMD dosen’t make anything that is above $230 for a personal desktop. Anyone that buy
