Why is Aldi so much cheaper than other supermarkets?

As a loyal employee to Aldi for 4 years, I can tell you that they are so cheap because they run everything in the most efficient manner possible. Only about 6 employees per store save on labor costs, you put a quarter in your shopping cart as a deposit so that the company does not have to hire cart gatherers or pay for damaged cars. Mostly carry private labels that do not cost the purchasing department as much as any brand name would. You buy your own sacks, the company does not hide it in the grocery prices, and they have really great employees that make it all happen. I am the assistant manager and I cashier, stock shelves, take care of payroll, billing, outside vendors, customer service, and janitorial duties…most other companies have 10 people doing my job!
