Why is Alberta Environment undertaking this study again? What has changed since the Prairie Farm Rehabilitation Administration’s feasibility study in 1986?
This study will reassess the alternatives presented in the 1986 feasibility report, making sure that the proposed designs conform to the current guidelines. This study will build on the information gathered previously and incorporate changes in technology, environmental sciences, investigate alternative storage, and obtain input from the public to enhance the knowledge base for a more informed decision.
