Why is aggregate so important in construction?

0

Aggregates are very vital in every construction. Without aggregates, you don’t have concrete. Concrete is a mixture of cement and coarse & fine aggregates with allowable water ratio. And in every construction, there is concrete mixture being used. For buildings, although structural steel are being used for columns and beams to replaced the reinforced concrete but what about the slabs, the slab on grades, the foundations, etc.? Still we need concrete to construct the said building components. Not only buildings need concrete but all structures regardless of types. Any project without concrete could not be completed. Therefore, if no aggregates, there will be no concrete. No concrete, no construction. That’s the logic and theory behind aggregates.
