• The ABC is required by law to broadcast ABC1 in standard definition (SD) digital. Due to the limitations of the bandwidth we have the capacity to broadcast one HD and three SD channels – with the introduction of a fourth distinct channel we no longer have the option to simulcast ABC1 in both SD and HD.
