Why is a U.L. (underwriters laboratories) approval important?
Underwriters Laboratories (known as U.L.) is an outside testing company. Many cover company’s claim that they meet the ASTM standard F1346-91 for manual safety covers, but have not followed up with outside testing agencies that perform all of the actual tests listed in the ASTM guideline.
