Why is a study needed to reconstruct the Going-to-the-Sun Road?
Reconstructing or rehabilitating the Road will require a substantial amount of construction activity. Without adequate study of construction techniques and mitigation options, the impacts to tourists, businesses, and natural resources could be substantial. This study will identify options that not only minimize these impacts but provide opportunities that could enhance visitor experience, improve business, and retain natural resources.
