Why is a liquid control available for CoaguChek XS Plus system but not for CoaguChek XS system?
Due to the presence of the OS2C on every test strip, liquid controls for checking the system integrity are not necessary anymore. Liquid controls are only offered for the CoaguChek XS Plus system due to regulatory reasons in some countries, e.g. in the USA, where daily internal quality controls have to be run by professionals, independently from whatever technology is being used, or if specific customers wish to have a numerical value.
