Why is a former systems analyst worker for the BVSD suing her former supervisor?
A former systems analyst worker for the Boulder Valley School District is suing her former supervisor, claiming he harassed her after she broke off an affair with him by creating a Web site about the relationship. Neither Charlotte Chase nor Kevin Cubillas — a former Boulder Valley information technologies director — work for the school district now. Chase resigned in October 2008 and Cubillas resigned earlier this year, according to a lawsuit filed Oct. 9. According to the lawsuit, the two had a romantic relationship for nine months while they both worked for district, but Chase broke it off in March 2008. She claims Cubillas then started sending harassing e-mails, making threatening voice mails and acting “unprofessionally” at work.
