Why is a daycare/boarding trial required?

Two trials are required to ensure the safety of the dogs that come to Cedar Ridge (and our safety too!) We assess the dogs to make sure they are not aggressive towards other dogs, people, food or toy possessive. We want to see how they do without YOU present (dogs tend to change a lot without their owners present) We cannot tolerate fence climbing, fence pulling (or any other escape attempts), mounting (“humping”), excessive barking/whining, running from strangers etc The reason we have so many high expectations of the dogs that come to Cedar Ridge is for the welfare of our doggie clients. We want to create a stress free manner for everyone. Please remember that we are not a regular kennel, your dog is receiving a higher level of care. For boarding: First a 1 hour trial is required. Then a 24 hour trial will be scheduled. For Daycare: First a 1 hour trial is required. Then we will let you know if we feel your dog can come for a full day or a slower integration is needed.
