Why is a cruise ship terminal being developed for the Gold Coast?
A cruise ship terminal and marina precinct will bring a new and exciting dimension to the Gold Coast tourism industry.The proposal advances the Queensland Governments Cruise Shipping Plan, which identified that additional infrastructure, was required in a number of locations including the Gold Coast,to support the growth of cruise shipping in Queensland waters. The cruise industry is supportive of a cruise terminal on the Gold Coast as it will cater for the larger cruise ships, and it is close to 2 international airports and a variety of high quality shopping precincts and tourist attractions.
