Why is a background check required?
Applicants, directors, partners and employees of a facility may be required to submit a background check upon application for, or renewal of a facility license. The criminal record check is required to enhance public safety and accountability, as well as support program integrity. This supports the objective that only qualified and quality individuals will be licensed under the regulation.
