Why internet explorer opens but then freezes?
I’ll attempt to answer your question as an IT professional versus just saying IE sucks man. 1. It could be an add-on recently installed. Go to TOOLS, INTERNET OPTIONS, PROGRAMS, MANAGE ADD-ONS. 2. DISABLE each add-on one by one to do a sort of process of elimination. If you can’t even get into IE to do that. Go to Control Panel, Internet Options, Programs, Manage Add-Ons that way. You want to disable an add-on, then try again. Keep doing it until you find the one that’s the culprit. If you’ve reached the point where you’ve disabled ALL your add-ons and it still doesn’t work….. Download Microsoft Windows Defender (free) it’s a memory resident Anti-Spyware application. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsdefender Then do a full scan. It could be spyware.
