Why indians don have scientist like Thomas alva Edison with such prolific invention ability?
You forgot to mention Benjamin Franklin. He was a polymath. A polymath is a person, with superior intelligence, than others, whose expertise spans a significant number of different subject areas. Franklin was a leading author and printer, satirist, political theorist, politician, scientist, inventor, civic activist, statesman, soldier and diplomat. His photo appears on USD currency notes. Any way all the early scientists were were polymaths as they had no earlier example to fall upon and did all there work all by themselves.
