Why in visual graphics, have the other senses not been catered for?
Hi there. If you think about it the other senses are challenged by designers. 1. Taste and Smell. Chefs all over the world are designing foods that appeal to these senses as well as how the food looks. 2. Smell. Perfume manufacturers would say that they spend a great deal of time and effort in designing new perfumes to appeal to everyone along with how it looks in its packaging. 3. Hearing. Musicians surely design and present music to listeners everywhere. If you then see them performing as a band, or in a show, then both vision and hearing go together. 4. Touch. Clothing designers pay attention to how a garment feels as well as how it looks. If it doesn’t feel right then many people won’t buy. When you go clothes shopping watch people and see how they feel garments in their fingertips to gauge quality and feel.
