Why in the world are vampire books so popular?
I believe vampires are popular because they contain two things that largely sell in this world: sex and violence.It is known that the are considered to be sexual motifs and the fact that they feed on other people and they live for ever shows power beyond the human measures. And of course they make an interesting subculture, that lives in the margin, something that always seem to attract people in adolescence as it provides them with a sense of identity and being something special and different than the majority. It’s a trend with psychological basis but don’t worry. Good literature always find a way to survive longer.
