Canada offers more lax immigration policies than the U.S. As a nation of about 33 million, Canada wants to help replace aging workers in many jobs that Canadians do not want to do such as janitors, fast food restaurants workers, etc. Also in order to balance the population as many Canadians emigrate to the USA or elsewhere, Canada has been recruiting citizens from nations that are most likely to succeed in emerging into Canadian society. Furthermore, Canada has very good refugee programs that offer asylum and assistance from many nations enduring war, strife or human rights abuses such as Myanmar, Iraq, Pakistan, and China.
