Why in biology, the hydrogen and ionic bonds are considered weak in enzyme active site?
Hydrogen and Ionic bonds will vary depending on the atoms that are bonding. If you consider an enzyme’s active site, the nature of the bonding is ideally going to be relatively weak. This site’s function is to attract other reactant molecules so that they become linked. If the active site had a high valance for bonding with these molecules then it would be bonding with them permanantly, not allowing them to bond.
