The Right in American politics fear Socialism and perceive the NHS to be founded upon Socialist principles. Well, they’re right there. The entire Welfare State of UK is founded upon Socialism and was created by our very own Labour Party immediately after WW2. Americans of the Right persuasion pretend that Socialism never existed in the USA, but of course they are quite wrong. Socialism is widespread across the USA and given it’s head, I have no doubt that the Democtrats will go ahead and create something along the lines of the NHS in USA with or without the concent of the medical profession. Let’s look at it from a democtratic point of view. When the people elect a president and a government, they expect their elected US.gov to do what they want them to. So, voting for a democtrat means the people want a measure of “Socialism”, because that’s what some democtrats stand for.
