Why i cant receive incapacity benefit while unable 2 work?
I agree with the previous answer. The “sick pay you were getting is incapacity benefit they changed the name some time ago and is only for short term and very means tested so if any other member of the family is working and adding to the income you are unlikely to get it. It is worth your while to apply for DLA and you can get the form on line at this site http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/DisabledPeop… The only problem with DLA is that it takes them about 11 weeks to make a decision but if you are awarded it then you get it from the date you applied so you don’t lose out in the long term. It is well worth you going to the CAB as there may be another benefit you could claim and they will be able to guide you. Best of luck and I hope all goes well for you with the treatment.
