Why I can hurt Physical Immunes with the Tiger Strike / Dragon Tail combo?
The main reason is that Dragon Tail, when used to strike a Physical Immune monster, is counted completely as physical damage. Unfortunately, the fire damage associated with Dragon Tail becomes ignored, thus making it useless when utilized against Physical Immunes. One way to overcome this though, is to target a Non-Physical Immune monster near the Physical Immunes. That way, the blast from the Tiger Strike / Dragon Tail combo has the fire damage added to it, hurting the Physical Immunes as well. This “trick” can be used in the Bloody Foothills with its mix of Enslaved (non-P.I.) and Maulers (P.I.).
