First check whether the cable coming to your PC is properly inserted in the LAN card. Re-connect that cable & check whether you are able to connect to the Internet. In case you are still not able to connect then ping your default gateway IP that is specified in the TCP/IP properties & check whether you are getting reply from it. To ping follow the steps: Click on Start Choose the Run option Type ping -t where is the gateway IP for your network. The IP can be found by checking your TCP/IP properties. If u get a response you will be able to browse.
