Timely Leak Detection: Leaks from pipes, plumbing fixtures and fittings is a significant source of water waste. The typical home loses 2,000 to 20,000 gallons per year.[1] Undetected /unrepaired leaks increase costs for pumping (electrical) and chlorination, and searching for leaks increases labor costs. Leaks also cause unnecessary wear on pumps and other system equipment. Over the years, numerous leaks have been detected at SLP households. Recently a leak severed a household service line and drained both System 2 storage tanks (~20,000 gals) within hours. It was suggested that this leak had been occurring for a long time.
