Why Homeless Children?
We decided to start our first project with homeless children because they are one of the most vulnerable groups in the city. These children have been abandoned by their so called loved ones at the most crucial time of their lives. Thus without adequate care and guidance many of them tend to go stray or fall prey to vicious predators. Through our project Art and its expression – Our Land is Calling for you, we intend to identify these children and interact with them in an attempt to guide them and expose them to the opportunities available to them as well as the dangers lurking close by. We also intend to mould them into responsible conscientious citizens who can voice their reality and inspire our society to mend its ways.
