Why havent we gone back to the moon to apply the much?
The lack of public interest on the one hand, and the lack of sufficient return on private investment on the other. A lot of what we would like to do on the Moon requires long-term habitation and a more robust infrastructure. While our technology in some areas has increased dramatically since the 1970s, our technology for getting to, and surviving on, other planets has not. We simply haven’t needed to develop it any further until recently.
