Answer The Government and many member states have worked hard for changes to the Directive to ease the impact of the SiMAP and Jaeger judgments. However, there has not been consensus to date amongst member states on overall changes to the EWTD dossier. The lengthy legislative processes in Europe mean that any changes to the EWTD will not be implemented by August 2009.
