Why have we changed Streets Paddle Pops to 97% fat free?

Streets Paddle Pop is concerned about the increased incidence of childhood obesity and has decided to take a pro-active stance when it comes to Kids nutrition. Streets Paddle Pop was already a relatively healthy ice cream option – one of the healthiest available in fact (in terms of calories and fat per serve). However, in order to make it even better, we made some minor modifications. We reformulated the product to reduce the fat content to less than 3g / 100g, and increased the calcium content to over 10% of the RDI (Recommended Daily Intake) per serve. In doing this, it was of utmost importance to the team that we maintain the great creamy taste of our Streets Paddle Pops. We therefore conducted extensive taste paneling of the proposed new formulation and made a few changes until it was perfect. We actually believe we have made and even creamier and better tasting product as a result.
