Why have the Amlodipine preparations been amended further on the Multilex Drug Data File?
The DH have confirmed that following the expiry of the formulation patent on Istin and the launch of generic amlodipine besilate, the concession for dispensing and endorsing Istin will cease from 1st July 2007. Contractors will be reimbursed for prescriptions for any amlodipine salt based on the Drug Tariff price for amlodipine.
