Why have Honourary Families rather than an Honourary Chair of the Campaign?
Instead of selecting an Honourary Chair for the Strathcona County Library Capital Campaign, we chose to have a series of Honourary Families because public libraries are all about families. The families selected are very diverse, just like Strathcona County. They are the families Belcourt, Bodell, Genius, Saik, Stelmach, and Van Hecke. Family profiles have been appearing in the Sherwood Park ● Strathcona County News for the past year.
