Why Have Heinous Crimes Against Families And Children Seem To Be Increasing?
Dr. Laura: In the past few years, there seems to be an ever increasing number of heinous crimes committed against families and children. Husbands have killed their wives and children, children have been kidnapped, raped and killed, and the number of boyfriends and step-fathers who have brutalized kids is revoking. On the news last night, I learned of an 8 year old girl who had been raped and dumped alive into a landfill. Recently here in Kansas City, they made an arrest in the case of a little girl (Precious Doe) whose headless body was found dumped in a wooded area. You guessed it. The boyfriend killed her by kicking the 4 year old in the head because she wouldn’t stop crying after being beaten. She received no medical attention, apparently suffered from the head trauma for days and then died.
