Why have CEDIA decided to implement Mandatory Certification?
As part of CEDIA’s drive towards higher standards, both perceived by the public, other professionals and within our industry, CEDIA have decided to stay in-line with other construction professionals (e.g. plumbers; builders; electricians) by introducing recognised qualifications. To keep the CEDIA member logo a mark of excellence in the industry we need to have some objective standard that potential clients and business partners can recognise – Certification provides this. This is only the start. The ultimate aim must be to have everyone working on the technical side of projects Certified.
