The final candidate hasn’t been chosen, Obama’s only the presumed nominee, it’ll be official at the convention after all the delegates vote. Think of it as kind of an electoral college, we vote a few months before, a nominee (or president-elect) is chosen, and it’s only presumed until the delegates/electoral college vote and make it official. Basically, all that happens at the convention is some big names (Bill, Hillary, Mark Warner, Joe Biden, Evan Bayh, Obama, Obama’s VP, and so on) make speeches, the delegates vote, the nominee accepts, and announces his vp candidate.
