Why have a StealthBoXz ?
With this new design of enclosure, the StealthBoXz is a unique cabinet design for maximizing dispersion. Basically, the contoured shape is supposed to ‘get out of the way’ of the wave and allow the subwoofer to spread its sound better. The unusual StealthBoXz shape also reduces tonal colorations and as most audiophiles know, a subwoofer produces sound by causing the surrounding air to vibrate (also known as resonance), whereas the StealthBoXz’s non-parallel sides minimise resonance dramatically. In a conventional enclosure design, resonance’s are usually controlled by bracing the interior of the box, or thickening the walls and adding damping materials, making it heavy and adding mass, which in turn has to enlarge the box size, by contrast, the StealthBoXz not only eliminates internal standing waves, but due to it’s ultra-light construction, reduces weight and most importantly SPACE.
