They have written not only to the Pope, but to all other major Christian leaders. Their message is that they believe that the Muslim and Christian Gods are one and the same, the Muslims recognise a large part of Christian teaching as valid, and the Christians should return the favour. Their position is that Islam and Christianity are sister religions and should not be as hostile to each othrr as they are.
