Why hasn anyone used Zab Judah as a sparring partner for Pacquiao?
Zab isn’t part of some club like Golden Boy where top guys are helping each other out. I’m sure Zab still considers himself a top level, elite guy…I don’t think he would spar with a guy like Ricky Hatton who I bet he thinks he could beat (and he probably isn’t alone in feeling that way). Thats sort of the rub with sparring partners, they’re probably not going to be as good as the guy you’re taking on. Zab would provide a good ape for Manny, he has terrific speed and power, but even if he were to do it, it could be a huge ego deflator to get your butt handed to you by your sparring partner day in and day out. Hatton could enter the ring feeling like there isn’t anyway he can win, because he hasn’t been able to figure out Zab.
Judah is in the race for some of the same fights as Manny Pacquiao like Ricky Hatton that’s a fight I know Zab wanted. So why would he waste his time being a sparring partner for Pacquiao when he could fight the guys himself and make more money. Zab isn’t the type of fighter you get to become a sparring partner anyway. He might actually cause more problems for Manny because he fights nothing like Hatton.
