Why hasnt a paradigm shift beyond algebra been achieved?
It was achieved, during the Apollo program. A giant leap was made to the meta-calculus level, congruent with the scientific method and systems optimization. But first it required a more fundamental paradigm-shift in the arithmetic of the computer architecturea calculus-level arithmetic of differentiation, which does not yet exist in computer hardware. It had to first be implemented in software. This was achieved during Apollo, and led to the marketing of a calculus-arithmetic supercomputer language, PROSE, in the 1970s. PROSE extended the then popular simulation modeling languages to optimization modeling. Even further, it established a new computing architecture for optimization subroutine nesting, and a new optimization-based modeling paradigm.
