Why has world history failed to mention the name of the greatest man who ever lived prophet Mohammad?
It depends on how you define world history? There is not one version of world history and there is not one history anyway. Just take for example a Marxist and a Christian and ask them both to write about a certain issue that is clear and obvious. Both of them would write totally different things. However, there are many philosophers, critics, history people etc who wrote about Mohammad peace be upon him. Hart recognized that ranking Muhammad peace be upon him first might be controversial, but felt that, from a secular HISTORIAN’S perspective, this was the correct choice because Muhammad is the only man to have been both a founder of a major world religion and a major military/political leader. Here are some historians who spoke about him peace be upon him: ♦Michael H. Hart, THE 100: A RANKING OF THE MOST INFLUENTIAL PERSONS IN HISTORY ♦James A. Michener, “ISLAM: THE MISUNDERSTOOD RELIGION,” in READER’S DIGEST ♦W. Montgomery Watt, MOHAMMAD AT MECCA ♦Annie Besant, THE LIFE AND TEACHINGS O
World history is not confined entirely to the Islamic faith and tradition so the Islamic Prophet Mohammad is not that popular to other religions as he is in Islam. Many people today have no regards to religion or against it. Even popular religious figures today are being publicly insulted especially here in the Internet. But hopefully, great men should remain honored.
