Trinidad, Colorado has been dubbed the “Sex Change Capital of the World” because of a local doctor who has an international reputation for the sex reassignment surgeries that he performs. He performed numerous surgeries from the 1960s until the early 2000s, when his practice was taken over. It has become kind of uncomfortable for some residents who lived there, with some choosing to move away. Sources: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trinidad,_Colorado#.22Sex_Change_Capital_of_the_World.
