Why Has Toyota Announced The Recalls?
Toyota has announced the vehicle recalls relate to safety – the recalls cover hundreds of thousands of vehicles in several countries – and many of it’s Vehicles manufactured between 2004 – 2010. Toyota have advised that the safety recalls relate to the accelerator pedal and Floor Trap Retrapment which have the potential for a driver’s floor mat to interfere with the accelerator pedal and cause it to get stuck in the open position. There is also a another Pedal problem, a possibility that accelerator pedal mechanisms may stick in a partially depressed position or return slowly to the idle position.
