why has the name of jennifer grey resurfaced after the death of patrick swayze?
57-year-old Ghost and Dirty Dancing star Patrick Swayze passed away in Los Angeles on Monday, confirms his publicist, Annett Wolf. Patrick Swayze’s death following a long battle with pancreatic cancer, sparked tributes from the Hollywood elite including Demi Moore and Dirty Dancing co-star Jennifer Grey. Jennifer Grey played Swayze’s romantic partner Frances “Baby” Houseman in the movie. Grey described her co-star as “a rare and beautiful combination of raw masculinity and amazing grace”. She also said: “Gorgeous and strong, he was a real cowboy with a tender heart. He was fearless and insisted on always doing his own stunts, so it was not surprising to me that the war he waged on his cancer was so courageous and dignified.” The actor is survived by his high school sweetheart, Lisa Niemi, who he wed in 1975. His death also hits home since he was just 6 days younger than I am. And like Farrah Fawcett, Swayze demonstrated class and great bravery in fighting the cancer that eventually took his life. May he rest in peace.
