Why has the learning programme been developed?
Governance Hub research had shown that two thirds of trustees would like to participate in accredited learning and that only 6% feel that trustees have all of the skills needed to be on a board. Of the 200 or so responses received for the Trustee NOS consultation in 2005, approximately half (43%) were supportive of there being an accredited learning programme developed from the NOS.
