Why has the government not tackled drug abuse as strongly as it has tobacco smoking?

The answer is that the government does tackle drug taking much stronger that smoking. You cannot go to prison for smoking tobacco, you can for smoking cannabis. You are not imprisoned for supplying cigarettes to under aged, you are for supplying any illegal drug. The police will raid your house at 6’oc in the morning if they think you have drugs. They will only tell you to stub it out if you are smoking.

The government has banned smoking in public and the workplace etc I for one wasnt aware that drug users are annoying and affecting people by using all around us quiet openly.I am sure that the authorities will deal much more strongly with anyone who decides to take his fix in public than someone who lights a gigarette. The cost annually to western nations in tackling drug abuse is astronomical .
